All 9th-12th grade students and their families are invited to attend a FREE College Fair at Minnetonka High School on Tuesday, February 27. This event is sponsored by MACAC (Minnesota Association for College Admission Counseling). Students and their families will have an opportunity to visit with representatives from over 100 colleges, universities, community colleges, technical schools, and specialty schools from around the United States. Students are encouraged to pre-register for the College Fair to receive a barcode that can be scanned at the College Fair. The barcode will allow students to share their contact information with their choice schools and they won't have to fill out registration cards at each school's table. College Fair attendees can use the parking lot by the Athletic Entrance. If you have any questions about the College Fair, please contact Deb Musser, Wayzata College and Career Center Coordinator.
You're invited to join us for Wayzata High School's 6th Annual Career & Technical Education Showcase which will be held on Friday, April 19 in Gyms 7&8.
In 2023 this showcase was bigger and better than ever before with up to 75 booths from companies like Caterpillar, Edina Realty, M Health Fairview, Polaris, Hyatt Regency, Lunds & Byerlys, North Star Therapy Animals, Tolomatic, Plymouth Police and Fire Departments, and Kraus-Anderson Construction. Information about career pathways and programs was available from these companies and more. There was plenty of colleges and trade schools sharing their specialties too. There was opportunities to learn about careers like Healthcare, Video Production, Engineering, Building Trades, Interior Design, Cosmetology, Vet Technician, Computer Programming, Law Enforcement, and many more. Check out this video!
For the 2024 event, students register for the showcase by visiting the WHS Hub under "College Visits" or by stopping by the College and Career Center in B202. If you have any questions about the Career & Technical Education Showcase, please contact Deb Musser, College and Career Center Coordinator, or Kyle Swenson, CTE Teacher. We hope to see you there!
