4th and 5th Grade Information Night
Wednesday, August 28
Wayzata Public Schools will again be offering our popular Kindergarten Bus Safety Ridership Program for students with the assistance of First Student, our transportation provider.
This is a wonderful opportunity for both you and your child to learn the importance of bus safety in a friendly, entertaining, and self-paced setting, plus actually go for a ride on the big yellow bus. This program helps eliminate much of the anxiety associated with riding the bus on that all- important first day of school!
Thursday, August 9, 4:30-7:00 p.m.
Wayzata High School Auditorium
Plan to spend about an hour at the various stations and exploring the marketplace of opportunities, including Culinary Express, Skyward Family Access Support, and Community Ed. No reservation required – just show-up, rain or shine!
Please call 763-745-5240 with any questions.
Immunizations – No Shots, No School
In order for students to enroll or remain enrolled in elementary or secondary schools, Minnesota state law (Minnesota Statute 121A.15) requires documentation of required immunizations or written proof of exemption. Students will not be allowed to start school or remain in school until the required immunization history or a signed legal exemption is provided to the district. For more information, visit our Health Services page.
Medications at School
All medications, both prescribed and Over-The-Counter (OTC), administered at school requires a medical order from a person who is a licensed authorized prescribing practitioner (physician, physician’s assistant, dentist, podiatrist, osteopath or psychiatrist). Please contact your school health office if you have questions. For more information, visit our Health Services page.
To ensure that your child is assigned to the correct bus and stop, your correct address must be on file with the Wayzata Public Schools Welcome Center. If your family has moved over the summer or is new to the district, please contact the Welcome Center at 763-745-5240 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
Families with current information on file by Friday, August 2 can expect to receive a postcard in the mail with busing information during the week of August 26. Change or additions made after August 5 may result in being assigned the nearest stop until the route can be adjusted in mid-September.
Families registering by August 2 will receive school mailings, transportation department information and Culinary Express PIN during the first round of mailings.
If your child is transported to or from a different address for childcare before or after school you must complete a Day Care Transportation form.
The Welcome Center is located inside the Wayzata Early Learning School at 1461 County Road 101 N, Plymouth, MN 55447 (the southwest corner of County Roads 101 and 6).
Please contact the Welcome Center with any questions at 763-745-5240 or email@example.com.
This school supply list has been compiled by the Meadow Ridge Elementary School staff to guide parents in purchasing supplies for their child. School supplies can be brought to school during Open House or, at the latest, on the first day of school. Some school supplies might need to be replenished during the school year. If you need financial assistance, contact your principal at 763-745-7110.
