Below, you will find the link to the optional Confidential Parent Input Form. The feedback form is for all current kindergarten through 4th grade students, as well as incoming kindergarten families. (If your child is attending Meadow Ridge next year, any information you provide will be shared with Meadow Ridge.)
Each spring, classroom teachers work as a group at each grade-level to create balanced class rosters for the following school year. There are two parent input factors that we will try to honor when creating class lists: student separation requests and a request to be placed with a different teacher if an older child had that teacher. If either of these factors applies, please complete this form by end of day, Friday, April 26.
The goal is to create classes where optimum learning for all students can take place. Please know we consider many factors to balance our classes and accommodate individual needs: gender balance, number balance, student separations, balance of ability levels and leadership skills, special learning needs, social and emotional needs, and behavior factors to name a few. During the summer, the principal determines which teachers will teach each class of students.
Creating groups of students who can work together is critically important. Parent selection of specific teachers for certain students often works against our goal of balanced classes, and will not be our practice. Please note, we will not honor requests for specific teachers. Please complete this form once for each child by Friday, April 26.
