Ojibwe student Sofia Vanderlan has been working to bolster Native American education in the district. Vanderlan has spent the past three summers living with her grandmother on the Grand Portage Reservation in northeastern Minnesota.

Michelle Cao and Andrew Zhang, who are juniors at Wayzata High School, have been providing free classes and group tutoring to middle and elementary school students with their new service TutoringMN.com.

Bjerke committed to St. Thomas, with the Tommies making the leap from D-III to D-1 in the fall.
