6th Grade Environmental Trip

When: Monday, January 14 to Friday, January 18, 2019

What: The highlight of 6th grade, a 5-day getaway to the great outdoors for the 6th-grade students and staff!

Why: To gain a deeper understanding of the natural history and physical environment of Northern Minnesota, to discover the true power of teamwork and collaboration through community-building challenges and to build inner strength by conquering personal fears and challenging personal inhibitions.

Who:

  • Approx. 20 teachers and staff members from East Middle School
  • Approx. 30 parent chaperones
  • Our school district nurse
  • Over 200 enthusiastic 6th graders from East Middle School

Cost: $300 (please make checks payable to Wayzata East Middle School) – If your child is going to do fundraising, a bill with the adjusted amount will go home with them when fundraising is complete. Payment and Health/Liability Forms are due to your child's science teacher by Wednesday, December 19, 2018.
