Wayzata Indigenous Advisory Committee
The Wayzata Indigenous Advisory Committee (WIAC) guides Wayzata Public Schools in matters pertaining to Native American Education. The WIAC welcomes new faces and encourages broad participation and collaboration to achieve a thriving community that is supportive of our Indigenous children and their families. Membership in the WIAC is limited to parents of Indigenous students as well as high school students who identify as Indigenous.
- Develop intercultural awareness throughout the Wayzata community to include students, families, teachers and staff.
- To support academic and cultural growth in our Indigenous students.
Wayzata Public Schools is in partnership with Osseo Area Schools in offering classes that utilize experiential learning and are centered on strengthening the identity of the Indigenous child.
