E-Learning Plans for Weather-related
and Other Emergency Events
Effective September 2023:
We want to make sure everyone is prepared for weather-related and other emergency events that may affect the remainder of the school year.
Wayzata Public Schools has created Emergency (E-Learning) Plans for grades K-5, 6-12 and Transition to be used on inclement weather days and other emergency situations as needed. The E-Learning Plans (see links below) designate student and teacher roles and responsibilities on these days and include Frequently-Asked Questions (FAQs) for more information.
- With the first day of any weather-related closing or emergency event in the school year, students and staff will not be expected to report to school and there will be no E-Learning instruction.
- On the second day of any weather-related closing or emergency event in the school year, the E-Learning Plans will go into effect. The E-Learning Plans can be in effect for up to a total of 5 days in the school year. These 5 days do not need to be consecutive.
- E-Learning Plans will only be used on inclement weather days and other emergency situations.
The E-Learning Plans do not apply to At-Home Flex Learning Days that are used for essential staff professional learning. Assignments and materials will be shared in advance of the next At-Home Flex Learning Day scheduled for all students on March 8, 2024.
