Wayzata is a high-performing district where we are always looking for ways to improve. We make thoughtful changes over time to provide the best possible experience for our students and families.

We help students build confidence, think critically, communicate clearly and take ownership of their learning. By teaching students to work together, solve problems and be responsible members of their communities, we help them become successful leaders.

We provide challenging, meaningful learning experiences that prepare students for the future. With support from our community, we are expanding modern learning spaces and Career & Technical Education (CTE) opportunities while building partnerships that connect students to real-world experiences.

• Before Wayzata: I bring extensive educational leadership experience as a former teacher, high school principal, assistant superintendent and administrator. I also hold a PhD in Curriculum and Instruction.
• Family matters: My wife, Thera, and I have three young children: Teddy, Rorie and Maisy.
• On the weekend: You can usually find me coaching my kids’ youth basketball and soccer teams or going for a run.
• Favorite school lunch: I’m a fan of Wayzata Café’s legendary orange chicken.
