Policy 518 - Assignment of Resident Students to Schools

The purpose of this policy is to provide procedures for the assignment of resident students to schools.

A. Pupils will attend the schools in the assigned attendance area for their residence.

B. Permission to attend a school outside the attendance area may be authorized for a one (1) year period of time and will be reviewed annually. Transportation to and from school is guided by Policy 724.

C. The School Board reserves the right to authorize categorical or group exceptions to enrollment constraints presented in this policy.
