The Wayzata School Board recognized the Welcome Center team as Wayzata's Employees of the Month at their meeting on Monday, July 14, 2025.

We are thrilled to celebrate our dedicated Wayzata Public Schools staff members who are retiring this year, representing a remarkable 772 combined years of service to our students and families!
This spring, the Wayzata Education Fund awarded $82,600 in grants to educators across the district. These grants serve to further innovative learning opportunities and fill in gaps where there are unmet needs.
On Monday, May 13, the Wayzata School Board recognized Korey Riley and Annie Stokes from Gleason Lake Elementary as the May Employees of the Month!
The 2025 Scholars of Distinction Award has been granted to 10 Wayzata High School students by the Minnesota Department of Education. The award is one of the highest honors in the state with only 18 students statewide receiving it.
Ashley Farrington, principal of Birchview Elementary in Wayzata Public Schools, has been named Minnesota’s 2025 National Distinguished Principal by the National Association of Elementary School Principals.
Ashley will be honored this fall in Washington, D.C., for his visionary leadership, commitment to equity, and transformative impact on school climate and student achievement.
