This past June, a record-breaking 36 students from Wayzata High School competed against 15,000 peers worldwide at the HOSA-Future Health Professionals International Leadership Conference in Indianapolis. To qualify for the event, students had to place in the top three at the state level. WHS had the largest number of Minnesota students from a single school.

Wayzata brought home eight Top 10 finishes, led by Anish Kommalapati, who placed in the Top 10 in five separate categories.

• 6th Place (ATC Career Development): Meera Sedhain
• 6th Place (Health Career Display): Aakya Manamperi and Anwesha Paul
• 7th Place (ATC Human Heredity): Anish Kommalapati
• 10th Place (ATC Physics College): Anish Kommalapati
• 10th Place (Creative Problem Solving): Raashi Parekh and Sanjana Mantha
