Purchasing
We buy high-quality goods and services for our schools at the best possible value. We follow state laws and school board policies to ensure fair competition among all vendors.
How we buy
- Under $25,000: Staff can buy directly from vendors or get simple verbal quotes.
- $25,000 to $175,000: We require at least two written quotes before making a purchase.
- Over $175,000: We use a formal, public bidding process. We advertise these projects on our Bids and Proposals page.
New vendors
We welcome new suppliers. To be considered for future projects, please email your company brochure, product list, and contact information to purchasing@wayzataschools.org.
Tax-exempt status
Wayzata Public Schools is exempt from Minnesota sales tax. We will provide our tax-exempt certificate upon request before placing an order.
