Every year, an independent auditor reviews our finances to ensure tax dollars are managed responsibly. This is required by state law.

Independent financial audits

How the process works:

Who audits us: A private, certified public accounting (CPA) firm reviews our financial records.
The timeline: The audit happens after the school fiscal year closes on June 30. The independent auditors present their final report to the Wayzata School Board at a public meeting every December.
What is reviewed: The audit verifies that our spending matches our approved budget and complies with state accounting laws.
