Approved Attendance Area Adjustments & Address Lookup
At a special meeting held on December 18, the Wayzata School Board voted to approve the attendance area adjustments, outlined in the most recent Concept 9, which will go into effect at the beginning of the 2025-26 school year. We know these changes affect families in meaningful ways, and we deeply appreciate your patience, feedback, and engagement throughout this process.

Why the Current School May Not Show Correctly in the Address Lookup Tool for Some Families
The Wayzata School Board previously approved attendance area modifications effective July 1, 2023, to address uneven enrollment growth. These changes impacted certain neighborhoods to relieve space pressures at Greenwood and North Woods Elementary Schools.
- If you live in Marsh Pointe, Weston Woods, Woods of Medina, or Meadowview, your assigned school depends on when your child enrolled, either Gleason Lake or Greenwood Elementary.
- Similarly, if you live in Ravinia, Tavera, or Walcott Glen, your assigned school is either Oakwood Elementary or North Woods Elementary, again depending on when your child enrolled.
The address lookup tool reflects the current attendance areas based on the revised boundaries. This means it displays the school assignment as if a family moved in today, not necessarily the school your child currently attends if you lived in these "pocket" neighborhoods in the northwest corner of the district before the changes.
