Club Y.E.S. (Youth Extending Service)
Description of Program: Club Y.E.S. (Youth Extending Service) is a youth service program for students attending Wayzata High School. It offers students a wide range of exciting opportunities for volunteer service: Interfaith Outreach, elementary school special events, Animal Humane Society , City of Plymouth, senior living communities, Three Rivers Parks and much more.
Club Y.E.S. Office Location: The Club Y.E.S. office is located in the 2nd floor offices of Wayzata High School. Brenda Badger, Program Manager and Anne Hamann, Program Office Para are the program staff.
Meeting time: Club Y.E.S. meetings are held monthly. Members should attend one of the meetings. Generally, meetings are the first Wednesday of the month at 3:20 p.m. and the first Thursday of the month at 7:30 a.m.
Program Operation Systems: Club Y.E.S. utilizes various digital platforms for program management including: Club Y.E.S. Portal within the WHS HUB, a Club Y.E.S. Canvas Course, and Club Y.E.S. google account. Only students who are registered members will have access to these digital platforms.
Eligibility Requirements: Open to all Wayzata High School students, grades 9-12, who meet the Wayzata Public Schools' Extracurricular Eligibility Requirements.
How to Join: Students interested in joining the club must register each school year if they want to participate. Registration for Club Y.E.S. can be done online in EPay under WHS, Athletics and Activities. Registration for 2021-2022 will open on August 16th in EPay. The registration deadline is October 3rd. Average number of members: 900 members (largest student organization at Wayzata High School)
Service Awards Opportunities: Outstanding Volunteer Award, Volunteer of the Month Award, President’s Volunteer Service Award, Prudential Spirit of Community Award.
Student leadership: Club Y.E.S. is governed by a Student Leadership Board.

Applications instructions are now available for the 2021 President's Volunteer Service Award cycle under Forms. Students at Wayzata High School who meet the criteria and apply may be nominated by Wayzata High School to receive this prestigious national award that recognizes volunteer efforts of individuals.
For the 2021 award cycle, students may include documentation with their applications, such as letters, certificates, and official emails from volunteer organizations as proof of service hours in place of signatures. Only volunteer hours served in 2021 may apply for the award.
The application deadline for the 2021 PVS Award is 3:30PM on Friday, February 4, 2022.
Awards are issued once a year at the Youth Extending Service Awards Celebration in April. See the District calendar for the exact date.
