High School Information and Parent Orientation
Please save the date for our upcoming Wayzata High School Incoming 9th Grade Parent/Guardian Orientation and Registration Information Night! All parents/guardians are invited to attend!
Incoming 9th Grade Parent/Guardian Orientation and Registration Information Night is scheduled for Monday, February 3 at Wayzata High School. The evening consists of four parts:
- Trade-Show Style Arena Booths by Department:
- Teachers from all departments will be available to provide information and answer questions about classes and academics at WHS. Come learn more about the curriculum and courses offered within each department! Students are welcome to visit booths while their parents/guardians are attending the parent/guardian orientation.
- Course Seminars:
- A seminar schedule will be published and shared with you in January; these informational sessions will allow you the opportunity to hear from teachers of specific courses within each department. We will also offer sessions on relevant topics, such as Mental/Chemical Health, Top 20 Teens and Parents, AP course options, and more!
- Incoming 9th grade Parent/Guardian Orientation:
- Student support teams will present to parents/guardians in the main Auditorium:
- Parents/guardians of students with last names A-Laq from 6:00-6:45
- Parents/guardians of students with last names Lar-Z from 7:00-7:45
- This will provide families an opportunity to meet their student support team and get a head-start on high school registration.
- We encourage all incoming 9th grade parents/guardians to attend.
- Student support teams will present to parents/guardians in the main Auditorium:
- Tours of WHS
- Tours will be scheduled throughout the evening, provided by student leadership groups and teachers.
2020-2021 Yearbooks
Yearbooks are now available for purchase
This year sales are available online through February 24. The cost is $30.00. This year's book will look different than in the past, but our yearbook staff is hard at work creating a book to record this historic school year.
Distance Learning Photos Needed
The yearbook is looking for pictures of students doing school at home during distance learning.
Submit Distance Learning Photos
Ideas for photos you might submit: your pet doing school with you, student work spaces at home, doing something like a science experiment at home, any new hobbies, using Zoom filters and backgrounds, anything that tells the story of distance learning.
