The 1,300+ students of CMS may not realize the many benefits provided by our PTA, but we know you do. Your support will assist our school in reaching a record number of families supporting the PTA this year!
In the past, your PTA has helped CMS students by:
- Providing $3,500 to assist with the amazing 8th Grade End-of-Year Celebration
- Supplying staff thousands of dollars through grant funding to purchase educational tools, including:
- Blenders, mixers, microwaves, mixing bowls & utensils for FACS classroom
- Specialized seating accommodations & classroom reading materials
- Free weights & storage racks
- Floor-to-ceiling white boards
- Lathes for woodworking classes
- Catering student recognition breakfasts & funding field trips
- Purchasing student planners for all incoming 6th graders
- Providing appreciation meals to all CMS staff members
To do all this, we raise money through:
- A PTA led school wide fundraiser (no selling pizza or wrapping paper!)
Your support is essential to the PTA's success!
- Consider sharing your talents taking on a committee chair or board member role! (Please email us.)
- Provide your email & help with your choice of events during the year (we really need you!).
- Attend monthly meetings if you're able and:
- Discover you're not alone in parenting a middle-schooler
- Find out what we can do together to make a difference at CMS
- Learn about topics significant to middle school students and their parents from the people who work directly with your children
