Sunrise over the playground

A Note from Principal Keffeler

Hello Meadow Ridge Families,

There's not much to report this week, as the weather was not cooperative. Now your children have something to tell their children about the Polar Vortex of 2019!

Progress reports are ready to view on Skyward Family Access. Please take some time to review, and bring your questions to Parent/Teacher Conferences scheduled for February 21, 26 and 28. We will have scheduling information out to you next week.

INTERNATIONAL NIGHT will be rescheduled. Stay tuned for the date; hopefully sometime in March.

Best,

Karen

Box Tops for Education

Our fall submission resulted in a check for $489.60! Thank you! Each top is worth 10¢ - it may not seem like much when you are clipping them at home, but when we pool them all together it adds up!  Our next collection drive will take place from February 4-15.  Please be certain that the expiration date is not cut off and box tops are not expired.

Around the District

Preventing the Flu
Influenza, commonly called “the flu”, is a contagious respiratory illness caused by the influenza virus, which infects the nose, throat, and lungs. Symptoms include fever (100º or above), headache, extreme tiredness, dry cough, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, and muscle aches lasting up to a week or longer. The best way to prevent this illness is by getting a flu vaccination. Additional tips are available on the Minnesota Department of Health website.

Students and staff members need to be without a fever for over 24 hours before returning to school. When contacting the school to report that your child is sick, please be specific including if the fever is 100º or greater and if your child has a cough or a sore throat. If you have questions about these guidelines, please call your school health office.
