Sunrise over the playground

A Note from Principal Keffeler

Hello Meadow Ridge Families,

It's been a great week! North Woods Principal Jennifer Berg spoke to our PTO on Tuesday morning, and had some great messages for her new families. Here's a quick review of the information:

  • North Woods is scheduled to open with under 500 students. Meadow Ridge will send about 250, with the remainder coming from Greenwood and Oakwood.
  • Welcome events will be very much like the events we had for Meadow Ridge, and those will begin happening in the summer.
  • North Woods Kindergarten Welcome Night will be in May. Families will get information and meet teachers at that time.
  • The teacher hiring process is in full swing, with most teachers being selected and announced by the end of next week.

Meadow Ridge will say goodbye to a fantastic group of families, and I know that you will love North Woods! There will be about 140 Kimberly Lane students joining Meadow Ridge in the fall, and we will have some welcome activities for them as we move into the Spring.

Take a minute to watch our now famous hat video! It's only 48 seconds, and you may see something that your child is missing. We are also gathering another large quantity of mittens. Please encourage your child to look for lost items!

Best,

Karen

International Night – Thursday, January 31

Join us as we celebrate the diverse community that truly makes us Meadow Ridge through hosting an International Night. Your student will have an opportunity to "travel" around the world and learn about different countries and cultures shared by fellow families. We will have exhibit booths from many countries around the world, performances, activities, and food samples. If you have any questions, please email Dieter Becher at dieter.becher@turck.com.

Box Tops for Education

Our fall submission resulted in a check for $489.60! Thank you! Each top is worth 10¢ - it may not seem like much when you are clipping them at home, but when we pool them all together it adds up!  Our next collection drive will take place from February 4-15.  Please be certain that the expiration date is not cut off and box tops are not expired.
