Student Directories Are Here

Hard copies of Kimberly Lane student directories have arrived! They will be sent home today, one per family. If your student/s are not included in the directory this is because you either didn't give permission or you enrolled at Kimberly Lane after we went to print. If you would like to be included in our online directory and the hard copy of the directory next fall, please fill our permission form. Thank you to Chris Tomczik for volunteering to work his magic in formatting the directory and to Fun2Raise for printing the directory.

Did You Know?

Choir Date Canceled

5th Grade Choir is cancelled for Tuesday, November 20. Choir will resume meeting again on the following Tuesday, November 27.

Morning Drop Off

We continue to have a number of students getting to school late each morning. If you choose to drive your child to school rather than take the bus, please take note of the following:

  • Drop off between 7:30-7:40 so your child has time to get to class, make their lunch choice, hang up jackets, turn in homework, etc. School begins at 7:45, so students need to be in their classrooms by that time.
  • Safety is our highest priority,  Children should never cross a busy parking lot alone. If your student is coming in close to our 7:45 start time, you must walk in and sign them in.
  • And, thank you for remembering to drive slowly and attentively through our school parking lot. It's important to not use your cell phone so that you can watch for people crossing the parking lot.

Winter Has Arrived

In order for your student to be able to play in all areas of recess they must have all appropriate outdoor clothing. Boots, snow pants, hat, mittens and jacket. If they do not have all pieces, they will need to stay on the black top area. If you need help providing outdoor winter clothing for your student, please contact Kate Wessel at Kathleen.Wessel@wayzataschools.org.

Coyote Book Club

This is the final week to sign up for the 4th and 5th grade Coyote Book Club with Mr. Schiemann. Next Tuesday, the students will help choose which books they'd like to read. The suggested cost/donation is $20, but please let Mr. Schiemann know if you need a scholarship (or want to cover the cost of a scholarship for another student). Unless your student is in Home Base, you will need to pick them up or make sure they have a ride to pick them up at 3:30 p.m. Please email Chris.Schiemann@wayzataschools.org by Friday if your student is interested. Space is limited to 20 students.
