I will be on vacation on those dates. Can I pick/exchange on a different date? We understand that people will be on vacation and due to the busyness of this time of year, we are unable to accommodate different dates and times. Teachers understand that not all students will have their iPads on the first few days of school. iPads can be exchanged or picked up in the media center the first week of school. The iPad is damaged. Do I have to get it fixed? If the iPad is damaged and you purchased insurance, submit a claim with Smartfix. Or, pay the $75 fine for the damage. Pay the $75 fine on ePay. I don't remember if I purchased the optional insurance. Contact Smartfix I can't find the charging brick and or cable. Do I need to turn it in? Yes, you have to turn in both items. If you don't turn in both items, you will need to pay the fine on ePay. The cost is $5 for each item. If you don't turn in both items or do not pay the fine(s), you will be assessed a fine for each item. What if the iPad was lost or stolen and I can't locate it? If your iPad was stolen, you should have filed a police report with the city's police department the iPad was stolen from. If you purchased insurance, notify Smartfix, and they will file a claim.
All students MUST return the iPad that was checked out to them. If the iPad is lost or damaged you will need to pay a $75 fine on ePay.
iPads that are lost will be locked down and no longer usable.
A $75 fine will be assessed if an iPad is not turned in, or the damaged iPad fine is not paid before the exchange date.
The following steps must be completed before turning in iPad
Step #1 - Pay for lost or damaged equipment through ePay and bring receipt of payment.
Step #2 - Backup iPad Files: Camera Roll/Photos Backup Directions
Step #3 - Reset iPad to factory settings Instructions: Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content & Settings Key in needed passwords to log out of all accounts iPad should have a white screen with the words Hello in different languages
Step #4 - Battery Must be Charged Plug your iPad in and have a minimum of 50% of your battery charged before drop off.
Bring the iPad in the case along with the Apple charger and Apple iPad charging cable to the high school.
