Dear CMS Families,
The end of this challenging school year has arrived. Although it has been difficult, I want to thank you all on behalf of myself and the Central staff for making it work. Your children should be proud of what they have accomplished. I hope you are proud of them.
We all have high hopes for a positive start to the 21-22 school year, but we still have a few more days of 20-21 left. During the last few days of school, it is my hope that students have a chance to wrap up their studies and enjoy some fun times with classmates and teachers. As mentioned in a previous newsletter, be on the lookout for last day information from your child's team of teachers. Distance or hybrid, the teachers have some nice things planned.
Strangely, the most exciting last day activity could be your student's second dose of the COVID vaccine. The district will soon send a couple of reminders about the shot clinic. There is a link to the permission form in the district communication. In order for a student to receive the shot, a new permission form must be signed and brought to school along with the card they received after the first shot.
Finally, the district is working through the process to select the new principal and someone will be named soon. It has been a pleasure serving at Central. I will miss the students, the staff, and the community. Thanks for all of the support you have given me over the years.
Stay well and have a great summer!
