Message from Mr. Carlson We are nearing the end of the most unique school year I have experienced in my 20 years as a middle school educator. Let's do everything we can as a school community to support our students in finishing strong. These final days can be exhausting, but they really are the culmination of an amazing school year. During the last few days of school, it is my hope that the students have a chance to wrap up their studies and enjoy some fun times with classmates and teachers. Our teachers have been working hard to create some fun activities for both Distance Choice and in-person learners.

All Grades End-of-Year Celebration! The PTA and WMS staff are excited to announce our end-of-the-year celebrations for 6th, 7th, and 8th graders! This has been a challenging and also rewarding year and we want to celebrate all your efforts in flexing, persevering, and achieving in the midst of so much change. On the last day of school, June 10, all grades will have a special dedicated Field Day celebration outside (weather dependent, otherwise will be moved to the gym) with various stations of activities, crafts, sports and a treat for students to move through!
In addition, and in lieu of the annual 8th grade party and graduation ceremony, we will have a dedicated time after the 8th grade Field Day for a special time of games and pictures just for the 8th grade students.
We are looking for many donations in order to make this All-Grade Celebration happen. Please drop off your donations to the Main Office at WMS by Friday, June 4. Please use the Sign Up Genius to sign up to donate. Thank you for your support and generosity!!
Reminders Covid Reminder We need your support as we all do our best to remain vigilant both inside and outside of school. Please have students stay home if they have any symptoms or if anyone in their household has symptoms and/or if they have been tested for Covid and are waiting for results.

There are some issues with iPads that may be solved quickly, such as forgotten passcodes, iPad won't charge, WiFi issues, etc. For these types of issues, students can make arrangements with their teacher to visit the Tech Hub in the media center.
Culinary Transition to Titan Meal Payment System Culinary Express is updating our point of sale system for school breakfasts and lunches to Titan School Solutions. Titan provides user-friendly solutions for families and removes the need for personal identification numbers (PINs). We will continue to use Nutrislice for our web-based menus and ordering system for distance learning meals. Please remember that breakfast and lunch are free for all students for the remainder of the 2020-2021 school year due to the pandemic. Students will only need funds in their account for the remainder of this school year if they plan to make à la carte purchases.
From WMS Tech Hub/Tech Support Please check with your student to see if they have a damaged or non-working iPad. If they do, please get it repaired, whether or not you have purchased insurance.
It's important that your student has a working iPad that is fully charged. A great time for your student to charge their iPad is to do it overnight. That way it will be fully charged and ready to go by morning. The top two reasons why an iPad may be having charging issues:
From Student Services Please do not hesitate to reach out if you have concerns about your sons and daughters. We would like to collaborate with you to determine how we can help.
Students should remember to bring a sweatshirt or light jacket because they will be going outside for recess during lunch and Physical Education classes.
