A Note from Principal Keffeler Hello Meadow Ridge Families,
Next Thursday, June 10, is our last day of school. On behalf of everyone here at Meadow Ridge, thank you for all of your support this year. Our partnership with families has never been stronger. So many of you have reached out to us with your gratitude and understanding, and we will carry that in our hearts. As we look to the fall, all students will be under one roof, with routines and procedures back to mostly normal (pending continued trends, of course)!
We do have some staffing changes for next year. Laura Baum, current third grade teacher, is looping up to fourth grade. Eric Stanton, who was on leave this year, will return to fourth grade in the fall, and Zach Dahl is returning to his intervention position. We welcome Jacquelyn Grulkowski, current teacher at Greenwood, to our Kindergarten team. Erin Hines is moving from special services resource to a specially designed classroom, and Julie Fischer returns to MR as a special services resource teacher. We say goodbye to Kelly Weir, Marvin Puspoki, Maggie Blau (moving to 4th grade at Sunset Hill), and James See (returning to resource at SH). A special thanks to art teacher Terry Klotz, music teacher Emma Tewes, and tech teacher Kellie Hiedelberger, all BV teachers who taught some of our DCO students!
As students move into summer relaxation mode, I encourage you to monitor and limit their tech and especially social media usage. We all need more fresh air and human interaction. Walks, games, play dates, reading, projects, and together time will help us all.
