Wayzata High School

Dear WHS Seniors and Parents,

We have received several inquiries about the health protocols for our graduation ceremony scheduled for this Friday night. To provide a level of comfort for all participants, masks are encouraged for all who plan to attend. However, due to recent updated guidance that has come out from the Minnesota Department of Health and the Minnesota Department of Education, we will be revising our mask requirements for that evening:

  • Masks are not required for students or guests that have been fully vaccinated for at least two weeks or longer.

We will have audience members with increased health risks, so please be mindful of families who may choose to distance themselves out of precaution. This year the stage is positioned toward the end of the arena, so there will be adequate room to distance as necessary to increase your level of comfort and safety.

I will review all of this tomorrow morning with our seniors at graduation practice, following their 2nd block class. I look forward to seeing you all Friday night to celebrate this incredible milestone event for the class of 2021!

Sincerely,

Scott Gengler

Principal
