Did You Know? Last Materials Pick Up for Distance Learning Students Friday, May 28, will be the last materials pick up for all distance students. The cart will be in the entryway 8:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m. Included in your pick up bag will be a return bag. It will be labeled with your child's name and a list of what needs to be returned to school. You can also return your library books, white boards, math kits and anything else your teacher loaned you. Grades K-4 please return your ipad and charger. The return bag should be dropped off at Oakwood on Thursday, June 10 between 12:00 - 3:15 p.m. If your child is not finishing out the school year, please drop your bag off in the school office between 7:45 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.
Grades K-4 Return iPads at End of School Year We will be collecting ALL K-4 iPads at the end of the school year. Students who are attending Camp Explore will receive an iPad on their first day of summer learning. When iPads were checked out last fall, each student was given an Apple charging cable and Apple charging brick. To ensure all student iPads can be charged next year, we need all the remaining charging bricks and cables returned to school. Please review the 2021 K-4th grade iPad message from our Tech Department for more information.
Distance Choice Students All K-4 Distance Choice students will need to turn in their iPad, case, cable and charger in working order on June 10. More information will be sent out. Any broken iPads need to be repaired prior to being returned. Please read this for more information.
Hotspots District tech will also be collecting all hot spots that families have checked out. Communication will be coming soon from our Tech Office about returning this equipment by June 11.
Fifth Graders Fifth Graders will be keeping their iPads through the summer and bringing them to Middle School. Please click here for more information.
Yearbook Distribution Yearbooks will be handed out to students the last week of school, June 7th - June 10th. Distance Choice families who ordered a yearbook, your yearbook will be with your student's materials for your last materials pick up on May 28. If you forgot to order a yearbook, we have a very limited number of extra copies for sale. Contact Cara Lavery at cj_sting@hotmail.com if you would like to purchase a yearbook or have additional questions.
Lost and Found Have your child check for lost items in our Lost and Found. Items will be donated Wednesday, June 2.
Reminders If Your Family is Moving This is the time of year when many families make decisions to move. If your family is moving within the Wayzata School District, please contact the Welcome Center with your new address and a copy of your purchase agreement or lease. If you are moving out of the school district, we ask that you fill out the Withdrawal Form below. This form should be completed if your family is moving out of the district, making a different choice for education, or homeschooling.

School Supplies for 2021-2022 School Year! We are excited to launch our School Supply Kit service for the 2021-2022 school year! This year, this service is provided by the PTA as a convenience to you - this is not a fundraiser for the PTA. The deadline to order is June 15. Also, please note that they will be mailing kits to your home once again, given that we do not know how Open House will look this August. Please contact secretary@oakwoodpta.org with any questions.

Oakwood Family Directory As a reminder - ALL Oakwood families need to login or create an account and input family information to be included in the directory, even if you have done so last school year (your info will not be visible until you do so). Volunteer Needs
Around the District Free Summer Meals Wayzata Public Schools is offering summer meals on Wednesdays at Central Middle School. The weekly curbside pickup is free and available to anyone 18 years of age and younger. The meal kits will provide breakfasts and lunches for seven days. Weekly Meal Pick-up Details:

Our teachers and staff have been a consistent, welcoming presence in our students' lives this year more than ever. Show your support for all they have done with a donation to the Wayzata Education Fund. Each donation made in honor of a teacher or staff until June 1 will include a special certificate of thanks from you, and every donation of $25 or more will come with a bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Whether they’ve helped make a difference in-person or virtually, show your appreciation by participating in our Thank a Teacher program.
Community Ed New offering! Wayzata Community Ed and Twin City Tennis Camps are pleased to offer tennis lessons for ages 5-18 at Central Middle School this summer. Full or half-day camps available. Find more information and register on the Twin City Tennis website.
