6th Grade Parent Newsletter Principal's Message The vaccine clinics at Wayzata High School and Central Middle School were a great success. Students who got the shot received a card with the details of the first dose. That card should be retained by you for future use and will be updated when the second shot occurs. Students will get the second dose on June 9 or June 10. Two things to know about the second clinic: - Keep the record card from dose number one in a safe place and have your student bring it to the vaccine clinic.
- Parents/guardians must complete another consent form for a student to receive their second dose on June 9 or 10.
The Parent Teacher Organization (PTO) has been working hard throughout the pandemic to support our students and staff. They have supported teachers during conferences, teacher appreciation week, and provided a number of supports for teachers to deliver the improved distance experiences for students through a teacher grant program. Christine McCoy, President, and Kaisa Koivukangas, Treasurer, have done a fantastic job supporting East Middle School. However, both of their terms are ending after this school year. We are excited for a new board to step forward and support East Middle School and we look forward to your contributions and ideas. If you are interested in taking on this important task, please contact Christine McCoy.
