A Message from Mrs. Paul Greetings!
We are enjoying the warmth and sunshine that has come with the end of this week! Next week comes with some fun - Staff Appreciation Week, including School Nurses Day and Lunch Hero Day, is May 3-7. Our PTO has plans to spoil our staff and has found ways to include students in the fun:
Calling all SuperKids! Surprise your teacher by filling out this "I think you are super" picture. Please print and have your student color the superhero emblem and write a special note to their teacher or staff. Be sure to bring it back to school on Monday, May 3rd and give to the teacher or turn it in to the office. Feedback has overwhelmingly shown that personal notes from students are a teacher and staff favorite during this special week! Let's shower Plymouth Creek staff with superhero notes! If you do not have a printer, there will be copies of the superhero note in the office for students to take.
Superhero Dress-Up Day: Friday, May 7th. Dress like your favorite superhero (or in the colors of the superhero) next Friday in support of Staff Appreciation Day.
Picture retakes will be on Tuesday, May 4. If you are planning for your child to participate in picture retakes, please notify your child's teacher and send the Lifetouch envelope with the pictures or proofs you received back to school on Tuesday.
Enjoy the beautiful weather this weekend!
With gratitude, Ashley Paul

Plymouth Creek PTO needs your help! Please send photo submissions for the yearbook to: Plymouthcreek2021yearbook@gmail.com. Class photos, Zoom photos and candid photos are all needed. To send pictures, please open the email and attach the photo to the email. This will ensure that the picture is sent in the correct format for it to be added to the yearbook. The deadline for photo submissions is April 30.
There are 3 different options for student school photos to be included in the yearbook: 1. In-person, through Lifetouch (April 15) 2. Lifetouch is offering a picture day Snap @ Home. There is a $5 fee for this, but the photo is set on the same background as the picture day photos. Parents can share their 'snap at home' photo by downloading it to their desktop and emailing it to us. 3. Headshots can be taken at home and emailed in. Please make sure that you use a plain background and good lighting.
Any questions? Send us an email!

Around the District COVID-19 Variant Testing Due to the increase in COVID-19 variant cases across the state, the Minnesota Department of Health encourages the following:
Thank a Teacher this holiday season with a bundt cake! This school year has been unusual to say the least! Our teachers and staff have been a consistent, welcoming presence in our students' lives this year more than ever. Show your support for all they have done with a donation to the Wayzata Education Fund. Each donation made in honor of a teacher or staff until June 1 will include a special certificate of thanks from you, and every donation of $25 or more will come with a bundtlet from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Whether they’ve helped make a difference in person or virtually, show your appreciation by participating in our Thank a Teacher program. Teacher of the Year finalist Nine teachers from across the state have been named finalists in the 2021 Minnesota Teacher of the Year program. Congratulations to Mr. France Roberts, Meadow Ridge first grade teacher, who was named a finalist. An independent selection panel of 24 leaders in the areas of education, business, government and nonprofits selected the finalists from a group of 25 semifinalists. The winner will be announced at a ceremony in August. There were 75 MN Teacher of the Year candidates for this year. Spring Splash Wayzata's Spring Splash event will be 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. this Saturday, May 1, in the city’s new plaza park, 688 Lake St. E.
