Dear WHS Student,
We hope you are doing well and staying strong during your final term this school year! We would like to formally invite you to apply to be a member of the Student Council Senate!
All students, regardless of their current learning format, are able to run for a position in the Senate. We will be hosting two optional information meetings for those interested in running for the Student Council Senate. The Senate is the representative body for students and works to improve school culture, works with administration to address student concerns, and plans events such as Homecoming, P.E.A.C.E., Survivor and Prom. In addition, the council sponsors events to raise money for IOCP and Fund-A-Need.
The meeting information is below. If you are unable to attend, feel free to reach out to one of us or current members of the Student Council for additional information! Monday, April 26 - 7:30 a.m.
OPTIONAL Pre-Election Information Zoom Meeting Thursday, April 29 - 5:30 p.m.
OPTIONAL Pre-Election Information Zoom Meeting In addition, here is the link to the WHS Election Packet. Please read the information carefully! A completed application packet must be submitted by Friday, May 7 at 11:59 p.m. in order for a student's name to appear on the ballot.
If you are not interested in running for an elected position, but are still interested in getting involved, you have the option to "work-on" to the House. More information regarding this process will be available at Back-to-Business days next fall!
Sincerely,
Amy Swenson, Co-Advisor Lauren Wilvers, Co-Advisor Braden Bourland, Student Body President |
