In Person MCA Testing The in-person MCA reading testing will take place on April 19, 20. The math MCA will take place on April 28, 29.
Please make sure your student is well rested and has a good breakfast so they can feel their best for these days.
Distance Learners MCA Testing For our Distance Learners who have elected to take the MCA test, your testing day will be April 28 or 29. Your classroom teacher will reach out to you to let you know the specific day and students will take both reading and math MCA tests on their assigned day.
Did You Know? Is Your Family Moving? This is the time of year when many families make decisions to move. If your family is moving within the Wayzata School District, please contact the Welcome Center with your new address and a copy of your purchase agreement or lease. If you are moving out of the school district, we ask that you fill out the Withdrawal Form below. This form should be completed if your family is moving out of the district, making a different choice for education, or homeschooling.

Dress For The Erratic Weather We have some big swings in weather in Minnesota, don't we? Please send appropriate clothes for all the extremes that we are experiencing. We go out for recess daily.

Reminders Media News Read every day! In addition to ebooks, physical library books may still be borrowed. Kindergarten and first grade students request through Seesaw. Students in second through fifth grade may browse the library catalog and place books on hold. Contactless book pick up available in the main entry each school day 8 a.m. - 3 p.m.
Media Center Wishlist Readers are looking for many popular new releases. Want to donate a book to the library media commons? Visit this Amazon Wishlist. Naomi Shadis, media specialist, would love to add a bookplate honoring your donation.

Virtual Multicultural Week The Kimberly Lane Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Committee is excited to announce our upcoming Virtual Multicultural Week starting on Monday, May 17th. During this time, we will celebrate the diversity of our student body by providing a variety of virtual experiences created by our very own families at Kimberly Lane.
We are inviting you to create a short 5 minute video demonstrating one of many suggested areas of interest, ranging from dance to games to arts and crafts! Everyone in the Kimberly Lane community is invited to participate!

Parenting with Vision: “The Danger of a Single Story” is a powerful Ted Talk given by award-winning author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie. In the Ted Talk, Adichie shares stories of the stereotypes she held about others, and ones Americans held about her. Wayzata parents Denise Silva and Kristen Spargo invite fellow parents to join them to view Aichie’s Ted Talk on Zoom, reflect on the stories she shares and discuss them together.
