Updates

Wayzata Public Schools New Emergency Notification

Wayzata Public Schools will be piloting a new emergency notification to communicate directly to Wayzata High School students in the event of an emergency. Parents and guardians already receive updates during an emergency via email, phone calls, text message and social media. In order to also provide information specific for students, we may share where to move to during an emergency, where emergency transportation buses will be picking up students or other directions for students on campus.

Because these messages will be tailored to students, we will ask your student to log in and add their cell phone number, not a parent or guardian cell phone number, under the student's account in Family Access.

This notification system is being offered as an option for families with high school students and is not a requirement. Message and data rates may apply and are the responsibility of the parent or student. If you have questions, please contact Kristin Tollison, Director of Administrative Services, at Kristin.Tollison@wayzataschools.org.

TEDx Event

An exciting, new proposition is in the works for a TEDx event organized by our very own school community! TEDx is an offshoot of the TED brand that allows communities to hear a carefully curated collection of thought-provoking and inspiring talks from speakers within the locality. In order to move forward with this, we are searching for an individual that has attended an official TED event and resides in the area. If you, or anyone you know meets these requirements, please contact Associate Principal Greg Sowden. Let's make this event an overwhelming success!

DECA Event - Glow Yoga

DECA is partnering with a Pose for Hope black light Glow Yoga for St. Jude event taking place on November 4, offering 3 sessions. The event will be at Wayzata High School in the Yoga Studio, Room E101. Each admission ticket is $28 and comes with a yoga mat to keep, glow sticks, and glow paint. Please join Wayzata DECA and the Wayzata community in another phenomenal event to give back and help find an end to childhood cancer.
