A Message from Mrs. Paul Good afternoon, Plymouth Creek families:
What. A. Week! We had beautiful recess weather, warm sunshine, extra daylight, and the Scholastic Book Fair! Many, many thanks to PTO for making this possible. The students were absolutely overjoyed to have the experience! Families can continue to shop our virtual Book Fair through March 6.
Last week, to end I Love to Read month, we had a school-wide Read-a-Thon. Both in-person and Distance Choice students were encouraged to read for an hour (or more, in some classrooms) and to keep track of how many books or pages they read in that amount of time. Our kindergarten students read nearly 300 books, our first graders read for nearly 4 hours, and our second-fifth graders read over 30,000 pages! Classrooms will be rewarded with new books.
We are finding ways to celebrate and experience joy. It's good for the soul!
In partnership, Ashley Paul

Traveling Outside of Minnesota Is your family planning to travel outside of Minnesota? Families are strongly encouraged to follow the recommendations from the MN Department of Health when leaving the state including a 14-day quarantine post-travel. Please record your child's absences in Skyward or contact the Attendance line: 763-745-5855.
Reminders Reporting Attendance in Skyward Family Access Please report absences in Skyward Family Access when your child is absent or tardy, even on their non-cohort days. Children are considered unexcused without an entry in Skyward Family Access or a call to the attendance line from a parent or guardian.
Emergency Information Form For a variety of reasons, there is often a need to contact you throughout the course of the school year. Parents/Guardians are asked to keep their contact information up-to-date in Skyward Family Access Emergency Information Form. Watch the Skyward Family Access video guide if you're not sure how to complete the form.
Grade 3-5 Distance Choice Families - MCA Participation Please look for an email on March 8 from WPS Research and Evaluation Department with the subject, "Distance Choice MCA Participation." The email will have information about MCA testing for Distance Choice students at your child's school. In the email there will be a link to a form for you to indicate if your child is going to participate in MCA testing or if you would like to opt your child out of MCA testing this year due to COVID-related reasons. We need parents to complete this form by March 12, so we know how many students will be testing and we can make plans for rooms and staff.
