Dear Wayzata High School Students & Families,
As we enter into our last few days before the winter break, I would like to take this opportunity to acknowledge how challenging this year has been for you and for everyone within our school community. Whether you are a freshman, sophomore, junior or senior, or you have been taking classes in-person, on Zoom or a combination of both, this year has been difficult, to say the least.
As we begin to see some light at the end of the COVID-19 tunnel and start the very important work of trying to get you all back to school into more normal routines, I would like to say, thank you! I continue to be inspired by your incredible grit, awesome courage, tireless persistence and your uncanny ability to adapt in order to overcome unforeseen challenges, even under the most difficult of circumstances. You may not have signed-up for "COVID", but you certainly are the example of how to persevere through whatever adversity it may bring with it.
None of us were prepared for the magnitude of this pandemic, but please know I am deeply grateful for your partnership, sacrifice and your unwavering commitment to succeed in your classes. When we return from break, I encourage you to stay strong and resilient—we will get through this together, I promise.
On behalf of your teachers and the entire Wayzata High School staff, thank you! We wish you all a much deserved winter break and peaceful Holiday Season! ![]() |
