A Note from Principal Farrington Dear Families,
As this week comes to a close, it is with mixed emotions that I write this note to all of you. I recognize that the changes are not easy, and we will continue to do our best, be our best, and know that you will too. We are grateful for the collaboration and will continue to look for ways to support all children as we move toward distance learning on November 30.
As we transition, we will be maintaining the A/B cohort model, but with some increased synchronous (live) learning opportunities daily. Your child's teacher will communicate these adjustments in the schedule. Please remember that students will continue to receive synchronous instruction from specialists on their cohort (previously in-school) days via Zoom.
Our Bobcat has some tips for our students as they prepare for distance learning. Please watch the video below with your child and help us with showing our 4Cs throughout distance learning. I have a lot of confidence that we will do a very good job. In closing, I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this pandemic as a school community. While we are away from each other for our break, please do your part to stay safe and control the spread. I want to have us return as soon as possible, and I am sure you would agree. I hope that you are able to enjoy the long break with your families and loved ones. I know that this year will look different in the Farrington house and it will just be the 4 of us, enjoying each other's company, playing games, relaxing and of course, some pie. I wish for the same for you and your family.
With gratitude,
Mr. Farrington
Did You Know? Fun Run Our Fun Run is still scheduled for after break. Mr. Reed will be conducting the Fun Run virtually during P.E. on November 31 to December 1st and December 7 to 8. Kindergarten times will be during their brain break time. Students will all receive a mask and a tee shirt. If you are able, please consider donating to our Fun Run. See letter below with details on how to contribute. Thank you for supporting our school.
No School for Students November 23-27 There will be no school for students next week. Teachers will be planning on November 23 and 24, before going on Thanksgiving break. School will resume on November 30, in our distance learning format. We hope that you have a safe and relaxing break.

Technology Assistance To ensure the safety for all, we are requesting the following process be followed for all technology assistance:
Reporting Absences Please report absences in Skyward Family Access when your child is absent or tardy due to an appointment. Children are considered unexcused without a call to the attendance line from a parent or guardian; this includes Distance Choice as well as students learning from home on non-cohort days. You can still call the school attendance line at 763-745-5355 to report an absence.
Reminders Material Pick Up Dates for Distance Choice There has been a change to our distance choice pick up. We will now have a contact free pickup beginning tomorrow. Families will need to park their cars and find their grade level table near the front entrance. You will find your child's package on the table. Any returned items should be dropped in the basket underneath the table. Please only take items for your child(ren). Pick up will begin at 12:30 and go until 2:30 each Friday. This new procedure will take place for all remaining pickups.
