From the Desk of Dr. G Dear Families,
As this week comes to a close, it is with mixed emotions that I write this note to all of you. I'm really excited to share this Grizzly Dash highlight video and slime reward footage. It makes me smile when I think about all of the things we've collectively done (and adapted to) so far this school year.
I'm also incredibly grateful for your flexibility and feedback as we have worked to improve the learning models we have in place. I recognize the changes are not easy, so please stay connected and let us know when something isn't working for you or your child. We are grateful for the collaboration and will continue to look for ways to support all children as we move toward distance learning on November 30.
As we transition to Distance Learning, we will be maintaining the A/B cohort model, but with some increased synchronous (live) learning opportunities on your child's non-cohort day. Your child's teacher will communicate these adjustments in the schedule. Please remember that students will continue to receive synchronous instruction from specialists on their A or B cohort (previously in-school) days via Zoom.
In closing, I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this pandemic as a school community. I'll be the first to admit that none of this is ideal. Working together, we will find the positives and navigate the challenges together. I'm looking forward to being together in person as soon as possible...please stay safe and thanks for all your help with having students wear masks.
In Partnership, Brad Gustafson, Principal

Did You Know? Book Fair! Our fall book fair will take place online November 30 through December 13. The book fair is a great place to do holiday shopping. Grandparents and others may even purchase gift certificates during the event that will benefit Greenwood. With kids spending more time at home, hopefully they are getting in lots of reading time! Scholastic has a wide variety of book options. Many are available at affordable prices, making it easier to get lots of great and interesting books in our kids' hands! A link to the fair will be forthcoming.
