Note from Mr. Williams Dear Sunset Hill Families,
As this week comes to a close, it is with mixed emotions that I write this note to all of you. I recognize that the changes are not easy, and we will continue to do our best, be our best, and know that you will too. We are grateful for the collaboration, and will continue to look for ways to support all children as we move toward distance learning on November 30.
As we transition, we will be maintaining the A/B cohort model, but with some increased synchronous (live) learning opportunities daily. Your child's teacher will communicate these adjustments in the schedule. Please remember that students will continue to receive synchronous instruction from specialists on their cohort (previously in-school) days via Zoom.
In closing, I want to thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this pandemic as a school community. I'll be the first to admit that none of this is ideal, and I know we will find the positives, somehow, from this situation. While we are away from each other for our break, please do your part to stay safe and control the spread. I want to have us return as soon as possible, and I am sure you would agree.
Warmly,
Ross Williams
Did You Know? No School November 23-27 There will be no school for elementary students all of next week. Monday, November 23, and Tuesday, November 24, are planning days for elementary teachers. We will be off for the Thanksgiving holiday for the rest of the week.
From the Media Center Great news! Your child(ren) can still check out Sunset Hill library books while at home. Here's how you can request books from our library so they can be picked up on Fridays.

Reminders Reporting Absences in Skyward Family Access Please report absences in Skyward Family Access when your child is absent or will be tardy due to an appointment. Children are considered unexcused without a call to the attendance line from a parent or guardian; this includes Distance Choice as well as students learning from home on non-cohort days. You can still call the school attendance line at 763-745-5955 to report an absence.
