Dear CMS Families,
Schools across the state are responding to the upward trend of positive COVID-19 cases. As you know, that trend has resulted in Central Middle School hybrid students and teachers shifting to a distance learning format starting on Monday, November 16. Please note that hybrid students in other WPS schools will continue to attend school as usual next week.
Students currently enrolled in the Hybrid Option — The changes involved with going to distance learning are designed to maintain as much continuity as possible. Students currently enrolled in the Wayzata Distance Choice Option — This will not significantly impact the learning experience that you currently have.
How it Works In the distance model, hybrid students will have daily contact with their teachers Monday through Thursday. Students will not have new teachers. Students will follow their original Skyward student schedule and are expected to arrive in class on time via Zoom or Google Meet. Zoom links can be found on class Canvas pages. Friday will continue to operate as usual, including team meetings and office hours.

One final reminder, there is no school on November 23 and 24. Teachers will be working on preparing and improving their distance instructional practices.
Have a safe and relaxing weekend.
