Note from Mr. Williams Dear Sunset Hill Families,
As you know from Superintendent Dr. Anderson's most recent communication, we will be transitioning to Distance Learning for all students beginning November 30. I realize that for many, this shift will be another adjustment at a time that continues to be like nothing any of us have ever experienced before. However, I also firmly believe that the safety of your children and our staff is of top priority. We began the year with two models, and careful consideration of how the experience and alignment to each other worked. Our teachers have continued to monitor and adjust student engagement and progress, and this change to full distance will be no different. We are still committed to navigating these times and any changes together.
I would like to thank you for your patience as we continue to work through this evolving situation. No, none of this is ideal, but I hope we can continue to recognize the things that are working, and collaborate as a school and larger community on doing what we can under the circumstances to help each other whenever possible.
The sooner the numbers go down, the sooner we can be back in person. Please do your part to stay safe and control the spread.
Tomorrow, Friday, November 13 is a no school day for elementary students as staff will be participating in a planning day. There will be no morning meeting or distance learning work for this day. Wayzata Kids childcare will continue to be available to tier 1 critical workers.
Warmly,
Ross Williams
