Note from Mr. Williams Dear Sunset Hill Families,
I know that families and students have been wondering what I would do this year for my part in our annual Fun Run. Will I kiss a pig, swim a mile in a lake, camp on the roof, or eat bugs? This year, we wanted to have fun, and get out there and move. Well, hopefully, you enjoyed the video!
Warmly,
Ross Williams
Did You Know? Mental Health and Wellness Screener The well-being of our students is a priority. The district sent out an email invite to all Sunset Hill families on Monday, October 26, with a link for parents to click on to complete the Mental Health and Wellness Screener for each elementary child in their family. The email sent to parents is from, "WPS Surveys" with the subject, "Social Emotional Wellness Screener - Elementary Students". Your responses to the screener will help us assess our students' mental health and well-being. In addition, the information will help us prioritize who needs additional support and how we use our staff to meet student needs. There is no consequence to you or your child if you choose not to complete the screener. However, we encourage you to complete it, so we may provide your child with additional support if indicated.

Around the District Distance Learning Meal Options Stay Home When Ill and Be Prepared to Quarantine If you or someone in your family is ill, please reference the Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) Decision Tree document to learn what your next steps should be. Report any student absences into Skyward Family Access, specifying if the absence is COVID-19 related. Our school nurses will follow up with any COVID-19 related cases. If you are tested for COVID-19, even if you feel well, it is important that you remain home and away from others until you receive the results. Everyone must be prepared to stay home and quarantine for up to two weeks if you become ill with or are exposed to COVID-19. We know being quarantined for two weeks will be extremely challenging, but it is absolutely necessary to stop the spread of the virus. Learn how you can prepare for a possible quarantine. Our nurses will be working closely with MDH to notify students and staff as soon as possible if you have been exposed to COVID-19 at school. Always answer your phone if MDH is calling. If you have questions, please contact the licensed nurse at your school. More detail and helpful information can also be found on our Wayzata Learns webpage.
