From the Desk of Dr. G Winter Gear As temperatures start to cool down, we want to partner with families to keep kids safe, warm, and active during recess. We will be asking students to dress appropriately for the weather which typically includes wearing jackets, boots, snow pants, etc. (In order to access the full playground and playfields, students need to be dressed for the weather.) To request assistance with providing winter gear please contact Kristy Maas at 763-745-5507.
Lastly, please write your child's name on all winter-gear tags (e.g., gloves, hats, mittens, boots, jackets). You'd be surprised at how easily we can return lost items to kids if names are written on tags.
Grizzly Dash Update Thanks for your continued support of our school and the PTA Grizzly Dash. This week we announced another prize-level after crossing the $10,000 milestone! As part of the fun, students earned one additional teacher to slime and I got to wear some colorful hair dye. Since many of our kiddos are learning from home (or alternating in-school sessions within the Hybrid model), we wanted to be sure to include them in the fun using this video message.
In partnership,

PTA News Grizzly Dash raises more than $15,000 for Greenwood! Thank you, Greenwood families! Because of your support, the Grizzly Dash raised more than $15,000 for our school, supporting numerous PTA-sponsored purchases throughout the school year.
We hope your student(s) enjoyed participating in this year's Grizzly Dash fun run. Although the run looked a little different than it has in the past, we are so proud of our amazing Greenwood students who ran to build school spirit, to have fun while being physically active, and to raise money to support our school.
As a reminder, a donation of just $40 per student allows us to fund dozens of PTA-sponsored programs and initiatives that benefit every student – whether Hybrid or Distance Choice - meaning your donation can really help make more happen at Greenwood!
If you missed the deadline to donate through PledgeStar, we can still accept your donation directly via PayPal or Venmo.
As a reward for their tremendous fundraising efforts, students earned several school-wide prizes throughout the Grizzly Dash campaign, including:
Last but not least, slime is back! At least three Greenwood teachers will face the slime, much to our students' delight! Stay tuned for photos and videos in an upcoming newsletter and on social media.
Reminder: Distance Choice families are invited to share photos of their Grizzly Dash at home via our shared Google folder to be included in our slideshows and/or videos!
