Synchronous Seminar Sessions

Seminars will all be provided online through synchronous Zoom sessions.  Presentations and Zoom Links are accessible through Counseling Seminar Canvas Pages.  Please sign on at your grade's designated time.

  • College visits and College fairs
  • ACT, ASVAB, ACCUPLACER testing

Counseling Tips

Academic

Start out term 1 strong! 


Tips for success:

  • Introduce yourself to your teachers
  • Use your planner or calendar to keep track of assignments, class sessions, and support meetings
  • Check Canvas pages daily for announcements, lessons, and assignments
  • Login to synchronous Zoom sessions on time
  • Ask teachers and support staff for help when needed

Social + Emotional

2020 has been a year of change requiring flexibility to adapt to new environments, schedules, communication, and relationships.  All of this change can be stressful and difficult to manage. 

 

Please utilize resources available to students and families to access support.

Post-Secondary

Transcripts 

There are two options to request official transcripts: In Person or Online. 

 

Option 1: In Person

  1. Pick up a blue Transcript Request Form from the CCC (B202) or print it off at home
  2. Fill out sheet completely
  3. Bring back to CCC (B202) with $5 per form

Option 2: Online

  1. Go to Wayzata EPay
  2. Click on transcript requests for current students titled "WHS Transcript Request Form for Current Students Only"
  3. Fill out completely and pay $5 per request

Keep in mind:

  • If you used the Common Application, it MUST be linked to your Naviance account.
  • If you need letter(s) of recommendation sent, they MUST be in your Naviance account prior to submitting a transcript request.
  • Requests are processed in the order they are received, regardless of which option you choose.
  • Transcript requests can take up to 10 school days to process.
  • You are able to check your Naviance account for submission status.

College and Career Center (CCC) Updates

Virtual College Vists at Wayzata High School

Representatives from two-year and four-year colleges and universities from all over the United States are doing virtual visits for juniors and seniors at WHS. Each visit is 30 minutes and students can sign up for visits on their WHS Hub portal. A confirmation email is sent once a student signs up for a visit. A reminder email, which includes the Zoom link, is sent to students on the day of the visit.
