Fall Athletics Opportunities Hello Parents,
My name is Marc DeVoe and I am a health and PE teacher as well as the athletic coordinator at East Middle School. Fall after-school sport opportunities for 7th and 8th grade students include cross country running for both boys and girls, and tennis for girls.
Both sports will have social distancing and COVID-19 safety methods in place. Athletes will only be expected to come to practices or matches on the days they attend school (A or B). Transportation home needs to be arranged by families as there are no late buses. Coaches will provide more specific sport information once the athlete attends practice for the first time. If you need more information, please contact me at 763-745-6228 or Marc.DeVoe@wayzataschools.org.
Boys' and Girls' Cross Country The cross country season has started but registration has been extended. Practice will be held at Central Middle School from 4:10-5:20 p.m. A shuttle bus will provide transportation to Central Middle School, but families must provide transportation home. Registration is done through the high school on EPay.
Girls' Tennis Registration for girls' tennis is now open. The season will start on Tuesday, September 14. Girls should meet by the tennis courts on the first day and are encouraged to bring their own racket. Registration can be done on EPay.
Girls' Volleyball Girls' volleyball has been postponed and might be rescheduled to the spring for this school year. |
