Dear Students and Parents/Guardians:


This is a reminder about Back-to-Business that is scheduled for today, Monday, August 17, and this Thursday, August 20. These days are designed to support students and families in preparing for a successful start to the school year.

 

During this year's Back-to-Business:

  • Students will have the opportunity to return textbooks/curriculum items from last spring.
  • Students may request schedule changes.
  • All sophomores (Class of 2023) are asked to come to WHS for an iPad drive-thru distribution.

Lifetouch portrait services will not be offered until students return to school, at which point additional information will be communicated to students and parents/guardians.

 

Students enrolled in a course that will follow the hybrid model will be notified via email.

Textbook / Curriculum Returns

Students with textbooks, curriculum, and library/media center books are encouraged to return items curbside at the Auditorium/Upper Commons (Door 5) entrance on Monday, August 17, from 12:00 p.m. - 8:00 p.m. or Thursday, August 20, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Schedule Change Requests

Students may request schedule changes via the Wayzata High School Student Support Scheduler. Appointments are available via Zoom Meeting or phone call on Monday, August 17, from 12:00-8:00 p.m. or Thursday, August 20, from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Appointments can be made with any staff member listed.

iPad Turn-In and Distribution - Class of 2023 only

iPad turn-in and distribution will occur outside of the WHS gyms, in the rear bus corral parking area. Families should enter the WHS parking lots through Trojan Trail off Highway 55 and proceed around the athletics entrance. All sophomores are asked to arrive at a scheduled time based on each student's last name.

Monday, August 17

4:00-6:00 … Last names LAR-Z

6:00-8:00 … Last names A-LAQ

Thursday, August 20

8:00-10:00 … Last names A-LAQ

10:00-12:00 … Last names LAR-Z

12:00-4:00 … All sophomores welcome

Steps to follow prior to iPad Pick-Up & Distribution:

  1. Pay for lost or damaged equipment through EPay and bring receipt of payment.
  2. Backup iPad Files:
    • Notability Backup Directions
    • Camera Roll/Photos Backup Directions
    • iMovie Backup Directions
  3. Wipe iPad (required). Instructions:
    • Go to Settings -> General -> Reset -> Erase All Content & Settings
    • Key in needed passwords to log out of all accounts
    • iPad should have a white screen with the words Hello in different languages
  4. Battery Must be Charged:
    • Plug your iPad in and have a minimum of 50% of your battery charged before drop off.
  5. Bring the iPad in the case along with the Apple charger and Apple iPad charging cable.

Health Services

Please visit the Health Services webpage for more information. Medications can be dropped off in the Health Office during the first week of school.

Parking Permits

Parking permits will not be required while we are in a hybrid or distance learning schedule.

Please log into Skyward Family Access to verify/update the Student Contact & Information Form to assure we have accurate information for school to home communication and in case of an emergency.
