Dear Wayzata High School Seniors and Families,
The virtual graduation ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, July 1, at 7:00 p.m. The ceremony will not be available prior to this time. A follow-up email with details for accessing the virtual ceremony will be sent to all families next Monday, June 29.
On Tuesday, June 30, and Wednesday, July 1, we will be inviting all seniors to come to the high school campus to receive their diploma, personally! We will use the Wayzata High School Stadium and field to conduct a diploma distribution and celebration for each graduate. Professional photographers from Lifetouch Studios will be present, taking pictures of students receiving their diploma and celebrating this milestone event. Photographs will be provided digitally to families at no cost.
Guests Graduates and their families should arrive in one car per immediate household when possible. Only members of the senior's immediate family will be allowed inside the stadium and on the field for viewing and picture taking. The event will be streamed live via Facebook for extended family members to watch.
Students should wear their school issued cap and gown. Dress appropriately for the weather and for walking across a warm turf field (no heals).

Parking and Access to the Stadium Parking is available in all lots; however, the upper commons lot by the auditoriums will be more convenient to the starting and end points. The access road between the upper and lower lots will be blocked for pedestrian traffic (similar to what you would experience at a football game). Graduates and their families will enter the stadium at the ticket gate and will be required to exit out the players gate following their diploma distribution celebration.
Map Seniors, we all realize this is not the ceremony that you had anticipated when you started your senior year. We will do everything we can to make these days as enjoyable and as memorable as possible to help celebrate your achievement.
Sincerely, |
