Dear Class of 2020:

 

This is a reminder that senior commencement speeches are due Friday, February 28!

 

Please see additional information, below:

 

We will have two Class of 2020 Graduates speak at our Wayzata High School Class of 2020 Commencement. One speaker will be recommended by the students in your senior class, and the second speaker will be recommended by the Wayzata High School staff.

Speeches should be 3-5 minutes long. Graduates who are interested in speaking are asked to:

1. Enlist the help of a Wayzata High School staff member who will act as a mentor.
2. Prepare the typed speech as a Google Doc.
3. Share the Google Doc with both Kathy Beatty, Kathy.Beatty@wayzataschools.org and your staff mentor for approval.
4. Finalized speeches (as Google Docs) are due by 3:30 p.m. on Friday, February 28.

Speeches will be available online for voting March 6-25.

 

Selected speakers will be notified at the beginning of April. Speakers will also be notified of a date/time (TBD) when/where they will rehearse their speech with Principal Gengler.
