All freshmen, sophomores, and juniors should have their 2020-2021 course selections entered in Skyward by the end of the day on Tuesday, February 18. If your student has a question regarding course selection for next year, please visit our WHS Registration website or contact your student's Counselor.
Career & Technical Education Fair - Wednesday, February 19 We encourage your student(s) and you to attend our Career & Technical Education Fair this Wednesday, February 19! Sessions will be offered throughout the day and evening. More information was sent out to parents/guardians on February 7. Announcements and Breaking News Student Scuba Trip to Grand Cayman, Summer 2020 Does your child have aspirations of becoming a Marine Biologist or have a love for the ocean and a desire to SCUBA dive? If yes, we have a trip for you! Wayzata High School will be taking students on a trip to Grand Cayman Island this summer. As part of this trip, students will be certified to SCUBA dive, spend 8 days on Grand Cayman Island SCUBA diving, and learn all about the marine ecosystem of the Caribbean. The cost of the trip is $3,200, which covers all costs: SCUBA certification, airfare, food, lodging, dive equipment, and textbooks. We have two separate trips this summer students can choose from, June 9 – June 16 or June 16 – June 23. This trip is open to all students who are currently in 10th, 11th, or 12th grade. French Field Trip Opportunity We are excited to offer an opportunity for students to attend the Alliance Française's annual film festival Festinema on Thursday, March 12. Students are encouraged to join us for the movie Comme des Garçons (2018) (in French with English subtitles) at St. Anthony Main Theater and lunch at the Midtown Global Market (on their own). We will leave WHS at approximately 9:15 a.m. (during 1st block) and return about 2:00 p.m. (during 4th block). The cost for students is $13.00, which includes the movie ticket and transportation (plus money for lunch).
Counseling Corner Seminar Sessions Update Information The counselors recently completed their seminar sessions (formerly known as Group Guidance) with grades 9-11. The main topic covered was registration for the 2020-21 school year. After grade-level specific presentations by counselors, students were given time to ask individual questions and start entering their requests into Skyward. Requests are due by midnight, Tuesday, February 18. Please talk with your student(s) about what was covered, and about registration for next year. The presentations are also available for your review in Canvas. Please contact your student's counselor with any questions.

Class of 2020/Senior Information Graduation Cap & Gown Orders - Due February 28 If your senior has not yet ordered their cap and gown, please have them do so. Senior Party 2020 Information Senior Party Information You are invited to attend the Senior Parent Social on Sunday, February 23, 3:30-5:00 p.m. at Rock Elm Tavern.
