Did You Know? Spirit Week is Next Week! Monday: Presidents Day - No school
Lost and Found has moved The lost and found at WMS has moved from the table in the foyer by the gymnasium to it's own space in a closet right outside of the gymnasium. If you have a student missing items, please remind them to check it out.
Spring Conferences Conferences will take place on February 20, 27 and March 5 from 4:15-8:45 p.m. A conference session for your student can be scheduled following these directions. When scheduling a conference, pick a time that both you and your student can attend. The conference will not take place in the gymnasium this spring! Each core team will be located in one classroom and each teacher within that team will have their own table in the room. Families will have five minutes with each core teacher within the 30-minute time slot they selected in Skyward Family Access and can move to the table of any core teacher that is free within your scheduled time. Families do not have to meet with every teacher if they do not feel it is necessary. Please be respectful of other families' time with teachers and stick to your assigned time; if there are longer conversations or questions that cannot be answered in five minutes, please call, email or set up a separate meeting with the teacher. Encore teachers will be present and are available for meetings before or after your time with core teachers (you do not need to sign up for an encore time) in the Media Center.
Encore Registration for 2020-2021 Current 5th Grade Students: Music choice is the only Encore selection required for 6th grade. Upcoming activities
Families will need to complete Activity/Extracurricular Participation form for each activity a student joins during the year. The Activity/Extracurricular Fee needs to be paid once for unlimited extracurricular clubs and activities for the given school year (this excludes athletics). The Activity/Extracurricular fee is on EPay. The form is found in the main office, in Mrs. Jorenby's office in the media center, and from the coaches.
Reporting Absences in Skyward Family Access Please report absences in Skyward Family Access when your child is absent, tardy or has an appointment during the school day. Children are considered unexcused without notification from a parent or guardian. When you are submitting the attendance request in Skyward Family Access, you must be logged in as a parent, not a student. You can still call the attendance line (763-745-6455) to report an absence and we recommend calling if it is a last-minute request. The health office must have a current phone number on file in case of an emergency. If your daytime phone numbers have changed, please send new or updated numbers to the health office.
