Dear Families,
As you may have heard, Wayzata Public Schools has called an early release for tomorrow, Friday, January 17. Our dismissal time will be 1:10 instead of 3:10. In order to make sure we get all of our students home safely, we are asking parents to contact their classroom teachers with after school plans.
As soon as possible please email each of your child's classroom teachers to indicate your plan. Such responses might include:
Please send my child (include name) home on the school bus.
I will pick my child (insert name) up.
My child (insert name) will ride his/her bus and will go to a neighbor's house.
My child (insert name) will be picked up by "insert name, relationship."
We do have two classroom teachers absent Friday. If your child is in Ms. Brinda's class, please email Danielle Miller. If your child is in Ms. King's classroom, please email Elizabeth Robertson.
Your child will be served lunch at school prior to dismissal. Morning S.T.E.M. Day activities will continue as scheduled.
There will be no PM Home Base. Again, please communicate plans for your child with the classroom teacher so we can get your child home safely. Bright Start will need to be picked up by 1:10. Questions about Home Base or Bright Start can be directed to Peter Olson.
Your child will not be sent on the bus or sent home with anyone else until we have heard back from you personally. If your child's teacher has not received an email from you, the teacher will make a personal call to you to determine your plans.
Thank you in advance for your prompt communication. We appreciate your partnership.
Warmly,
Mr. Fredrickson
