Principal's Note Gleason Lake Elementary is proud to announce that Jenny Daniels will be recognized at the December 9 school board meeting as the Employee of the Month. Jenny has been with the district for the past eight years as a special education paraprofessional and also works in our after-school home base program. She brings compassion, dedication and expertise to her positions.
Jenny has the innate ability to empower students. She continually sets high expectations and carefully provides guidance and support to ensure students are seamlessly integrated into daily learning experiences. She takes the necessary time to get to know students and is able to build and maintain strong relationships. She approaches all situations with confidence and determination that she is making a difference in the lives of our children. The entire Gleason Lake community benefits from her team player approach, charismatic personality and infectious smile as she provides a sense of optimism in everything she does.
Did You Know? Do You Know 5 Unexcused Tardies = 1 Unexcused Absence Our school is mandated to report unexcused absences to the county attorney's office. Please make every effort to ensure that your child is in their classroom and ready to learn by 8:30 a.m. every day. With the winter months here, buses can at times be late due to inclement weather. If students are late due to busing issues, they will not be considered tardy. If they are late by parent drop off, they will be considered tardy – please allow extra time for the transition in the parking lot, as well as your student's walk into the building and to their classroom.
Reminders Order on Amazon and Benefit Gleason Lake Every time you order on Amazon, a percentage of the price can be donated to Gleason Lake. Learn more on the Gleason Lake PTO webpage.
Dress your Student Warmly for School Just a reminder that if there is snow on the ground, all students will need to have boots and snow pants on in order to get off of the blacktop and play on the playground and ball field. Remember that they will go outside for recess unless it's 15º below windchill. If you need help with winter clothing for your child, please contact Jessica Bedford at 763-745-5414.
