Apple ID Information/Clarification This email will provide you with a better understanding of the two different types of Apple IDs that are available to you on your district iPad. It will also help to explain why you would use one type of Apple ID over the other, as well as how to log into said Apple IDs.
Managed Apple ID Uses your district email (firstname.lastname@wayzataschools.org) and district password to login.
Traditional Apple ID You must have created or need to create this Apple ID yourself.
Which Apple ID should I use?
Can I be logged into both Apple IDs at once? To take advantage of the strengths of both types of Apple IDs you can do the following:
Do I need to be logged into an Apple ID at all? You do not need to be logged into an Apple ID on your district iPad. However, you will not have the ability to download apps from the App Store or perform iCloud backups/restores in that case. There may be other features you lose out on in the future as well.
